You Are Not Fat Forever


 

 I know, you might think you have to diet to lose weight. There is nothing better than the truth. With rare exceptions, most people are born at a normal weight. But then we learned how to diet. 

 

 Dieting causes your body to go into survival mode. Dieting itself triggers an intense biological desire to consume large amounts of high-calorie foods. This makes the body's instinctive impulses overcome all intellectual control. It prepares the body to maximize food absorption and minimize energy burn. 

 

 The diet sets us up to fight against our own physical survival, the body's most basic instinct. 

 

 For comparison, think  how difficult life would be if you had to go to the bathroom on a rigid schedule. What if you only allowed yourself to pee 3 times a day? 

 

 At 8am, 12pm, and 6pm you can release exactly 5 oz. You'll measure it - of course - to make sure it's the right amount. If you need to go any further, you will force yourself to wait until the next scheduled time. And too bad if you have to go at 10 a.m., see if you can hold out until noon.  Of course you won't be happy. Your body will have a hard time following an arbitrary schedule. It might get ugly. 

 Eating too much because your body refuses to starve doesn't make you a failure. It means you are human.

 * It doesn't make you sick. 

 * Doesn't mean you're forever imperfect. 

 * It does not convict you of being permanently ill and trying to recover for the rest of your life. 

 * This means you did your best  at that time. 

 * It means you can forgive yourself and move on.  


Eating is the most natural thing we do, and your body knows exactly what it needs to live its best. All you have to do is practice listening and ACTION with the information. Your body knows just what to do. Just as it knows how to breathe, reproduce, and heal. 

 

 Think about the way children live, we can learn a lot from them... 

 * They rest when they are tired.

 * They run, jump, swim, jump and play as much as they can because that feeling is fun and exciting. 

 * They are picky about what they eat. They will starve rather than settle for something they don't like.

 * They eat when they are hungry. 

 * Once they feel full, they have to be tricked or bribed to take another bite. 

 * They drink when they are thirsty. 

 * They love their bodies and they don't care what their thighs look like or if their belly isn't flat and toned.

 * They don't have to think about all that. It  comes naturally and easily as  part of being human.

  All  these natural instincts also live within each of us. We all have the innate ability to take care of ourselves. We just need to remember. We just need to get into the habit of listening to our body… according to its wisdom. Remember that a normal body weight is your innate right. It was stolen from you. Now you can get  it back. 

 

 So stop thinking you're always fat. You don't have to put up with being overweight or going on a diet forever. Let the situation of overeating and being overweight gradually become a thing of the past. They have served you well in keeping you alive. Once you stop dieting and accept the body you were born with, you can return to your normal, unique weight. 

 

 I'm not saying everyone is going to be a skinny model. The endless pressure of the very thin autocracy is a big part of the problem. Some bodies are meant to 

 be soft and curvy. Others are  sharp and natural angles. We are solid, tall, fleshy, muscular, nervous, short, etc. There is a great beauty in diversity.

 Accepting and loving the unique beauty of your body will heal  and set you free. Be like a child and revel in the body you have. Appreciate the strength of your muscles. Enjoy the feeling of being  here on this planet. Forget about having to look a certain way. 

Be yourself. Let others try to be like  models or celebrities. The world would be a better place if it had real, unique people and especially YOU. Believe in your own healing. Believe that you can  easily and naturally live with your  ideal weight. This belief is an important part of what will set you free. Eating normally is completely natural. Deep down you know how to do it.
